JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Merchandise Control Manager
Position Reports To: General Manager
Primary job responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

All functions of the stockroom, which include production, budgets, housekeeping, quality of work, inventory management, managing personnel, succession planning.

Assists to ensure that the Company adheres to all laws and regulations that govern its business operations, that a safe and pleasant work environment is maintained, and that the Company stands as a good corporate citizen in the communities in which it does business.

Acts with the highest level of integrity and honesty at all times and when in conflict, hold the customer's interests above all others.

Manages all office activities in accordance with current company guidelines. Responsibilities will be focused on recruiting, hiring, training, leading, coaching and continuous development of stockroom personnel.

Attends and participates in monthly Team Checkpoint meeting prepared with individual Performance Agreement, supporting data and action plan to attain 100% score. Supports all team members in achieving 100% score.

Has a complete understanding of and responsibility to train and coach all key members within the department of Company programs: Best Staffing Process, Performance Management Process, Commitment To Service, BOP for Merchandise Control.
Specific Duties will be:
Production: (Primary duty 14%)

All orders are to be fill in a timely manner (two weeks or less), equipment reviewed daily by employee's for proper operation, purchasing is be completed in time to ensure same day shipping (done by noon), prioritize and organizes work schedule, and utilize all system reports (IPC, Dynamics, Great Plains, Crystal Reports).
Budget: (Primary duty 35%)

Utilizes all laundered garment, checks excess stock, checks freight cost when shipping, utilizes used emblems. Reviews system reports daily (IPC, Great Plains, Crystal Reports).

Maintains and controls Cost of Merchandise Budget.
Housekeeping: (Primary duty 5%)

Maintains a clean, organized stockroom to meet Company standards.
Managing Personnel: (Primary duty 6%)

Manages personnel with an open door policy, making sure all employees are trained properly and have all the necessary tools to complete the job on a daily basis. Must be able to be objective in disciplinary actions. All personnel to be cross-trained (all jobs covered for vacation and illnesses). Ensures that one person is cross-trained for all Merchandise Control Manager duties and responsibilities.

Adheres to the Performance Management Process by holding monthly Team Checkpoint meetings with staff and quarterly one-on-one Checkpoint meetings to review individual performance and implement Employee Development Plans when necessary.
Quality of Work: (Primary duty 35%)

All work leaving the stockroom must be checked to ensure quality of garment.
Inventory: (Primary duty 5%)

Monthly inventories are to be taken, special garments are to be ordered to maintain inventory levels, excess garments are to be recognized, boxed and cataloged.
