Wastewater Treatment Technologies That Protect Our Customers
Coyne began its Coyne Clean
program more than a decade ago with a multi-million dollar commitment
to developing state-of-the-art wastewater treatment systems. The result
was industry-leading systems that are so effective they protect Coyne
customers from environmental liability by removing contaminants in the
washing process and safely reusing these hazardous liquids. Since
inception of Coyne Clean, Coyne has successfully recovered over
11,000,000 gallons of hazardous residuals from our processing
facilities, beneficially reusing them as supplemental fuel in cement
kiln operations. The bottom line: We're protecting the environment and
reducing demand on our natural resources.
Reducing Our Demands On The Environment
Coyne
Textile Services has taken a leadership role in the industry when it
comes to protecting the environment. Coyne worked closely with the
Uniform and Textile Service Association (UTSA) and the Textile Rental
Services Association (TRSA) to create LaundryESP -- a voluntary
Environmental Stewardship Program designed to reduce waste, save our
natural resources, and prevent pollution. LaundryESP includes the
removal of pollutants before they enter the laundry facility, as well
as quantifiable goals for reductions in water, energy, and washroom
chemical usage. The two trade associations and member companies,
including Coyne, work closely with EPA, local water treatment
authorities, customers, trade groups, environmental groups, and other
stakeholders to ensure its success. After just 6 years, the results are
remarkable:
